The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has announced a strategic partnership with the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) to launch the Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad (PMO).

As part of this collaboration, LUMS has meticulously developed a comprehensive syllabus specifically tailored for the PMO. A model question paper has been crafted to further aid students in their preparation, providing valuable insights into the competition’s format and difficulty level.

The PMO is open to students enrolled in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or O Level, Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or A Level, and equivalent qualifications from all educational streams across Pakistan. This inclusive approach ensures that students from diverse educational backgrounds have the opportunity to participate and showcase their mathematical talents on a national platform.

To encourage excellence in mathematics, the PMO will offer prestigious prizes to high achievers, including cash awards, medals, laptops, and scholarships for admission to top universities in Pakistan. These incentives are designed to inspire a new generation of problem-solvers and critical thinkers, fostering a culture of academic excellence and innovation.

Registration for the Pakistan Mathematics Olympiad will commence in mid-September 2024, exclusively on the FBISE website. Students are encouraged to register early to take advantage of this unique opportunity to compete at the highest level and gain national recognition for their mathematical prowess.

For more information on the registration process and competition details, interested participants can visit the official FBISE website.
