The Punjab government has announced major changes to the curriculum for Class 9 and 11 students starting from the next academic year.

According to a recent notification by the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB), these changes will include revisions to key subjects like Urdu, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Mathematics.

The decision aims to update the educational content to meet current academic standards and address the evolving needs of students. As part of these changes, the curriculum will also focus on Pakistan’s cultural and historical importance, particularly in subjects like Islamiat and Social Studies.

The goal is to provide a more relevant and modernized educational experience for students in the province. The PCTB has been tasked with printing new textbooks that reflect these changes.

The revised textbooks are expected to be available before the new academic year begins, ensuring students and teachers are prepared to engage with the updated syllabus. These changes are part of a broader effort by the Punjab government to improve the quality of education across the region.
